Small Business Week

Queensland Small Business Week will take place from May 16th – 21st this year.

The office of the State Member for Cairns, Rob Pyne, is working alongside Chamber of Commerce & Industry Queensland to launch a MAJOR campaign with huge prizes for Cairns consumers who “support small.”

97% of Cairns businesses are small businesses. A campaign of this type has the potential to provide a multi-million dollar stimulus to the engine room of Cairns’ economy.

This not-for-profit collaboration has already gained the support of the Government of Queensland and the Cairns Regional Council, as well as contributions from TTNQ, Cairns Business Women's Club, Gordonvale Chamber of Commerce, CQUniversity Australia, Forum4 Business Growth, Fitness Australia, Oasis Magazine, Master Builders Queensland, Taste Paradise, BNI Bushfire, Tourism Palm Cove and the Edge Hill Traders.

Bill Cummings Economics, Social Butterfly Marketing and CQUniversity Cairns have donated in-kind support to the initiative to demonstrate their support of Cairns’ small business sector.

All local business groups, shopping centres, industry associations or small businesses who want to receive updates are welcome to register their interest by emailing or follow our social media platforms for more information.
